Nokia Rolled Out Update For Symbian 3.2 & 5.0 Devices

Nokia Today Releases New Software Updates
For Its Older Symbian 3.2 & 5.0 Powered Devices

If you’re the proud owner of some older Nokia smartphone such as Nokia E72, Nokia 5230, Nokia 5800 or other Nokia phone powered by a Symbian version prior to Symbian^3, I’m sure you’ll be as pleased as we are to hear that Nokia officially releases the new software update Symbian 3.2 or 5.0 powered device.
Despite the arrival of the new Symbian platform and new phones such as the Nokia 600, 603, 700 and 701, the older devices that people are carrying in their pockets for years have not been forgotten by any means.
The software team at Nokia has been working hard on bringing updates to these phones, too, in order to improve their feature set, as well as to provide the usual fixes and improvements.
These updates will be targeted at selected phones running Symbian 3.2 and Symbian 5.0, but let’s break that down so we know exactly what that means:

The standard, non-customised version of the software is available from today for most of the generic Euro codes and as usually, country (SIM-free) and operator-specific variants will follow soon.
You’ll be able get the update through Software Update on your device or using Ovi Suite. Update size is different from phone to phone so it is suggestible to get it through free WiFi service when you choose to update or use Ovi Suite to install it.

All Symbian^3 powered devices are equipped with the UDP but it is anyway highly suggestible to back up your phone memory before performing a firmware update just as precaution measure in case something goes wrong.
